Tanasi winds through the Tanasi neighborhood with Tellico Lake visible on multiple holes and Smoky Mountain foothills in the distance. The course plays more open than tree-heavy mountain layouts, with large greens and wide fairway landing areas that photograph well from the clubhouse portico.
Tanasi features an 18-hole practice putting green, a driving range, cart rentals, club rentals, and food and beverages at the clubhouse. The wraparound portico invites groups to relax with lake and course views after the round. Friendly putting competitions on the 18-hole practice green are a popular post-round tradition for Bertram groups staying in Tellico Village.

Yes. Bertram’s Tellico and Knoxville packages include play at the courses of your choice, with no course restrictions. Tanasi is one of the most popular Tellico Village rounds and often anchors a trip alongside Kahite, Toqua, and optional rounds at Avalon or WindRiver. Bertram handles lodging, greens fees, and pre-set tee times across all selected courses.
All three are Tellico Village championship courses, but each has a distinct identity. Kahite is a links-style layout with an 808-yard par 6 and 93 bunkers. Toqua places three holes along Tellico Lake in a classic resort-lake setting. Tanasi is the lakeside championship course with big greens, an open feel, and water featured on holes 1, 17, and 18. Many Bertram groups play all three because the experiences complement rather than repeat each other.
Tanasi was designed by Ault, Clark & Associates (Brian Ault and Tom Clark) and opened in 1996. The layout is more open than Kahite’s links style and features some of the largest greens among Tellico Village courses. That design philosophy gives Tanasi a contemporary, championship feel with lake views built into the routing rather than added as an afterthought.
Tanasi is a championship test with elevated, undulating greens, surrounding bunkers, and water that forces precise tee shots and approaches. From the tips near 6,731 yards, it challenges low handicaps with length and green complexity. Wider fairways and multiple tee boxes keep the course playable for mid-handicap groups who manage the lake holes carefully. Signature challenges include the double-dogleg par-5 13th and the par-3 14th over a pond to an elevated green.
Holes 1, 17, and 18 play over water, offering some of the most scenic and challenging moments on the card according to Bertram’s course description. Tellico Lake is woven into the routing throughout the round, including dramatic lake-influenced holes in the middle of the layout. The wraparound portico at the Tanasi Clubhouse looks out over the lake and course, which is a big part of the post-round experience.
Tanasi is at 450 Clubhouse Point, Loudon, TN 37774, inside Tellico Village on Tellico Lake near the Smoky Mountain foothills. From Bertram’s Tellico Village townhome lodging or Lenoir City area hotels, Tanasi sits alongside Toqua and Kahite, which makes it easy to play all three Tellico courses during the same trip.
Tanasi Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 championship course at Tellico Village in Loudon, Tennessee. Opened in 1996, it was the second of three core Tellico Village courses and is known for lakeside golf on Tellico Lake, Crenshaw bentgrass greens, and Bermuda fairways. Tanasi blends scenic lake views with a true championship test, and Bertram describes it as lakeside championship golf in the Knoxville and Tellico area.
