Bertram specializes in group bookings and can schedule River Course tee times alongside Highlands rounds, with lodging coordinated for your group size and travel dates.
From the back tees, hole #18 is the longest on the course at about 572 yards (par 5). Hole #5 is a roughly 487-yard par 4 and carries the #1 handicap rating. Hole #13 is the shortest at about 164 yards (par 3). Water, river views, and mountain backdrops show up throughout the card, which is why photographers and repeat visitors often rank the River Course among the most scenic public layouts in the region.
The River Course sits minutes from Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which makes it easy to combine golf with dining, attractions, and mountain scenery. For groups who have already played Crossville, Fairfield Glade, or Tellico, Sevierville adds a riverfront Smoky Mountain experience with tournament-caliber conditioning. Bertram books trips across all of these East Tennessee destinations.
Yes. Sevierville Golf Club has 36 holes on site: the River Course and the Highlands Course, plus practice facilities including a driving range, putting green, and chipping area. Many golf groups plan a River round one day and a Highlands round the next, or both in a single long day. Bertram can build that itinerary into a multi-round Sevierville golf package.
Daily green fees at Sevierville Golf Club are set by the facility and vary by season, day of week, and course selection. For current walk-up pricing and tee times, contact the pro shop at (865) 429-4223 or visit Sevierville’s River Course page. Yes. Bertram coordinates Sevierville golf packages that can include the River Course, the Highlands Course, or both during the same trip. The River Course was designed by D.J. DeVictor, who also designed the original Eagle’s Landing course that preceded Sevierville Golf Club. The facility reopened in 2011 as a 36-hole complex with the River and Highlands courses. Parts of the original Eagle’s Landing routing were incorporated into both new layouts, giving the River Course a mature feel despite its newer configuration.
The River Course is a championship host venue for several high-profile events, including the TSSAA State High School Golf Championships, the TGA State Mid-Am, Tennessee’s only AJGA Preview event, and The Scotty, hosted by PGA Tour winner Scott Stallings.
Yes. Sevierville Golf Club is home to a pair of resident bald eagles that have nested on the property for years. Many golfers spot them during a round along the river. Black bears have also been seen near the course given its proximity to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Wildlife sightings are part of what makes this round feel distinctly Smoky Mountain, not just another daily-fee track.
The River Course is built around the Little Pigeon River, and water comes into play on 14 of 18 holes. That does not mean every shot is over water, but it does mean course management matters from the first tee through the finish. Generous landing areas give you room off the tee, but approach shots and layups often require clear decisions about how much risk to take.
At Sevierville Golf Club, the River Course is generally considered the more challenging of the two 18-hole layouts. It plays longer at par 72 with water featured on most holes, wider fairways that still test driving accuracy, and larger greens that reward solid approach play. The Highlands Course is a par-70 layout through rolling hills and mountain ponds with a different feel. Many groups play both courses during a Sevierville trip for variety.
The River Course is part of Sevierville Golf Club at 1444 Old Knoxville Highway, Sevierville, TN 37876, near Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The setting along the Little Pigeon River with mountain foothills in the background makes it a popular pick for golfers building a Smoky Mountain golf trip rather than a Crossville or Fairfield Glade itinerary.
