Absolutely. Stonehenge is built for memorable group rounds: national-caliber conditioning, a scenic and strategic layout, tournament credibility, and amenities that keep golfers on property after the final putt drops. Bertram specializes in group bookings and can schedule Stonehenge tee times alongside other Fairfield Glade and Crossville courses, with lodging at Country Club Villas or Premium Rentals.
Yes. Stonehenge offers a full-service restaurant in addition to a driving range, putting green, cart rentals, club rentals, and individual lessons. For groups on a multi-day package, that on-site dining and practice setup makes Stonehenge a natural morning tee time and post-round gathering spot before heading to another course the next day.
Stonehenge winds through rolling, wooded terrain on the Cumberland Plateau, with native stone walls, rock outcroppings, and creek crossings that give the course a look unlike anywhere else in the Crossville area. The stone features are not merely decorative. They are built into the design, especially at the signature 14th hole.
Stonehenge is traditionally considered the headline course at Fairfield Glade. Druid Hills offers mountain views and placement-based challenge. Dorchester is a secluded, tree-lined Bobby Greenwood layout. Heatherhurst Brae and Crag deliver 36 holes with their own signature moments. Stonehenge stands apart for its Joe Lee design, native stone features, national rankings, and tournament pedigree. Most Bertram groups include Stonehenge at least once per trip, then branch out to the other four Fairfield Glade courses.
Daily green fees at Stonehenge are set by the club and vary by season. For current walk-up pricing and tee times, contact the Stonehenge pro shop at (931) 484-3731 or visit Fairfield Glade’s Stonehenge page. Through Bertram, Stonehenge rounds are bundled into per-golfer package rates that include lodging, greens fees, carts paid in advance, and coordinated tee times.
Yes. Bertram packages include play at the courses of your choice, with no course restrictions. Stonehenge is the most requested Fairfield Glade round in the Bertram lineup and is often the centerpiece of a multi-course trip. Bertram handles pre-set tee times so your group is not calling the pro shop to coordinate schedules on your own.
Stonehenge has hosted a long list of high-profile events, including the Tennessee men’s and women’s state open, the Tennessee Senior State Open (permanent home since 2009), the Tennessee Golf Association Father-Son Championship, the Golf Capital of Tennessee Women’s Open, and the Challenge Cup Matches. Tournament history is one reason visiting groups treat a Stonehenge round as a must-play on any Fairfield Glade itinerary.
Stonehenge is a true test of golf despite not stretching to modern championship length. Bentgrass tees, fairways, and greens, strategically placed bunkers, water in play, and rock-lined holes demand accuracy and solid course management. Hole #8 is the longest on the course at about 524 yards from the back tees and carries the #1 handicap rating. Better players get a serious challenge; mid-handicap groups can manage the course from appropriate tees.
Hole #14 is Stonehenge’s signature hole: a downhill par 3 with a 15-foot layered stone retaining wall along the left and rear of the green, plus Lick Creek adding visual and strategic pressure. Native rock appears across several holes, but the 14th is the one most golfers remember. Hole #15 follows with a tee shot over water to a fairway bordered by water on one side and woods on the other.
Joe Lee designed Stonehenge on a rolling, wooded tract of the Cumberland Plateau, using natural rock outcroppings and native stone walls as defining features. Lee’s layout rewards thoughtful shot placement across the full bag, with bentgrass surfaces and bunkering that keep the course challenging even though it plays under 6,600 yards from the tips.
Stonehenge has earned recognition since its opening year, when Golf Digest named it Best New Golf Course. It has received 4 Stars in Golf Digest’s Places to Play and has been ranked #1 or #2 among public courses in Tennessee by multiple publications. GolfWeek has repeatedly placed Stonehenge in its Top 5 Best Courses You Can Play in Tennessee, including a #2 ranking in 2024. Those accolades are a major reason it anchors so many Crossville golf packages.
Stonehenge is inside Fairfield Glade on the Cumberland Plateau between Nashville and Knoxville. The course is at 222 Fairfield Boulevard, Fairfield Glade, TN. From Bertram’s Country Club Villas lodging, Stonehenge is a short drive within the community, which makes it an easy centerpiece round on any Fairfield Glade golf trip.
Stonehenge Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 championship course at Fairfield Glade Resort in Crossville, Tennessee.
