Lake Tansi Golf Course
Semi-private resort style course and friendly service
Lake Tansi Golf Course is a favorite of our local residents. This Par 72, 18-Hole layout is a semi-private course that hosts several Tennessee PGA section events. The course features Bentgrass greens, Bluegrass fairways and Bluegrass, Rye and Fescue rough.
The short, narrow fairways and undulating greens require precision on all shots. The many water hazards, sand bunkers, thick rough and encroaching trees create a demanding round for the scratch golfer, yet the high handicapper will truely enjoy the layout as well.

Lake Tansi features bentgrass greens and bluegrass fairways, with a mixed bluegrass, rye, and fescue rough. The fairways roll gently and the greens have tiers and plenty of movement, which is why the course puts such a premium on approach shots and putting. Groups visiting from out of state often notice how different Lake Tansi feels from the Zoysia fairways at Heatherhurst Brae or the tree-lined tests at Dorchester.
Yes. Lake Tansi offers a driving range, putting green, cart rentals, a full pro shop, and individual lessons. That makes it a practical choice for the first round of a trip or a warm-up before tackling a tougher Fairfield Glade track the next day.
Yes. Lake Tansi suits foursomes and larger groups because the course rewards different skills at different tees and the clubhouse offers a natural gathering spot at the 19th Hole Restaurant. Bertram specializes in group bookings and can schedule Lake Tansi tee times alongside Fairfield Glade courses, with lodging at Country Club Villas or Premium Rentals.
Fairfield Glade courses sit inside the gated resort community and include nationally recognized layouts like Stonehenge and scenic tests like Druid Hills. Lake Tansi is a semi-private resort course outside the gates with its own lakeside community setting, a PGA-event pedigree, and a layout built around accuracy rather than length. Many Bertram groups add Lake Tansi specifically for variety on a Crossville and Fairfield Glade itinerary.
Daily green fees at Lake Tansi are set by the resort and vary by season, time of day, and cart options. For current walk-up pricing and tee times, contact the pro shop at (931) 788-3301 or visit Lake Tansi’s course page. Through Bertram, Lake Tansi rounds are bundled into per-golfer package rates that include lodging, greens fees, carts paid in advance, and coordinated tee times.
Yes. Bertram packages include play at the courses of your choice, with no course restrictions. Lake Tansi is a strong pick for groups who want a semi-private resort feel and a layout that challenges low handicaps without shutting out mid- to high-handicap players. Bertram handles pre-set tee times so your group is not coordinating schedules course by course.
Yes. The 19th Hole Restaurant is located in the Lake Tansi golf clubhouse and serves as a popular post-round stop. It offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner with patio seating that overlooks the course. For golf groups, that on-site dining option adds convenience after a morning tee time before heading back to lodging or an afternoon round elsewhere.
Two of Lake Tansi’s strongest holes come late in the round. Hole #17 is a par 4 of about 400 yards with a lake guarding the front of the green, making club selection and approach angle critical. Hole #18 is a par 5 that caps the round with another demanding finish. Water is a factor throughout the layout, so course management often matters more than distance alone.
Lake Tansi’s conditioning, shot values, and competitive layout have made it a repeat host for Tennessee PGA Section events, including the TN Section PGA Team Championship. The course has also won the Crossville Chronicle People’s Choice Award as Best Golf Course in Cumberland County. Those credentials matter for groups comparing Crossville-area options beyond the most famous Fairfield Glade names.
Lake Tansi is a semi-private course at a resort community. It is open to resort guests and visiting golfers, unlike the private clubs inside Fairfield Glade. For out-of-town groups, a Bertram golf package is often the simplest way to add Lake Tansi to a trip, since Bertram bundles lodging, greens fees, and pre-set tee times across Crossville and Fairfield Glade courses.
Lake Tansi is not extremely long, but it demands precision off the tee. Short, narrow fairways, undulating bentgrass greens, water hazards, sand bunkers, thick rough, and encroaching trees create a demanding test for scratch golfers from the back tees. From forward tees, the same layout opens up enough that higher handicappers can genuinely enjoy the round. Bertram lists Lake Tansi as a course that works for both high-handicap and scratch players.
Lake Tansi is at 2476 Dunbar Road, Crossville, TN 38572, at Lake Tansi Village Resort. It sits in the Crossville golf market near Fairfield Glade, but outside the gated Fairfield Glade community. From Bertram’s Country Club Villas lodging, Lake Tansi is a short drive, which makes it easy to mix with Fairfield Glade courses like Stonehenge, Heatherhurst, or Druid Hills on the same trip.
